I'm headed back to Fullerton, California, in February to teach my Stamped Nature Bound workshop at Gilding the Lily.
February 6 and 7, 2016
Over this two-day workshop, I will show participants how to solder, stamp and embellish book covers, and how to bind them into a treasured book using Coptic binding. At the same time, I will show students how to coax beautiful prints onto paper for their pages using leaves, heat and water.
The skills and handouts students leave this workshop with will arm them to make books of all sizes.
Kits will include everything necessary to complete a 6- by 4-inch book similar to shown.
For more information, visit the Gilding The Lily web site here.
To register, call Dede Warren at 714-757-0558
This workshop is full. Thank you!
And then . . .
I'm headed over to Los Angeles February 13 for a one-day Wearable Book workshop at Make Art in LA.
We will not be ecodyeing during this one-day workshop, but we will make a charming little book that can be filled with thoughts or photos and then worn.
I will show participants how to solder and embellish book covers and then stitch them into small books using a Coptic stitch. After the books have been assembled, we will attach them to lightly embellished chains.
Again, the techniques and handouts that students leave this workshop with will arm them to make books of all sizes.
For more information or to enroll, visit the Make Art in LA here.
Both of these classes are for all levels of student.
